About The Event
In addition to a general discussion about preparing for school, challenges, and giving encouragement, we are going to have special guest speakers in various career fields that will be sharing their experience and giving tips. Here are their bios! We will be having:
- Antonio Dorset - an Investment Banking Vice President at Mizuho Securities (Mizuho) where he advises Automotive and Industrial Companies on acquisitions and has also advised his clients in raising billions of dollars. Prior to joining Mizuho Antonio worked at Deutsche Bank where he advised Casinos, Hotels, and REITs on similar strategic and financial needs. Antonio holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business and a BS in Engineering from Cornell University.
- Aparajita Ghosh - a Library Specialist, conducts children, youth, and adult programs both recreational as well as literacy-based. Have more than 21 years of teaching experience and over 6 years of library programming experience. Conducted Programs like Amazon future engineer coding program with Amazon, Crime prevention in youth with Urban League, Financial management with Score Broward, Job opportunities with Career source Broward and City of Pompano Beach to name a few.
- Broderick Batts - a Software Engineer, is the founding partner and Chief Executive Officer of Babb Technology Services Inc (BabbTech). He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1996 and immediately went to the United States Navy. After a brief time on active duty and NROTC, Broderick took his first IT job as a help desk technician. He went on to learn Citrix and become and Virtualization Architect. He founded Babbtech in 2013 and today continues to lead the company.
- Abel Thomas - a Circulating RN, working in the Orlando area. Born to parents from the island of Hispaniola in New Jersey, the family moved to Florida in 2000. While both his parents worked as nurses, it was not long after their move when his father decided to also become a pastor. Abel graduated with his Associates in Nursing in 2016 and began work, then continued his studies, earning a Bachelors Degree from the University of West Florida in 2018 after which he began nursing in the surgical unit. Abel lives with his sister in Orlando. He enjoys biblical studies and music.
